Interview whilst off wor

I have been struggling with stress at work for months, and I was put on a target plan last week.

I applied for two new jobs, and then two days later, I found out I was pregnant. After spotting all weekend, I have just had an extremely large bleed - although my test is still positive it is much lighter than it has been and I fully suspect a miscarriage.

Anyway, I am just not feeling up to going back to work, the anxiety caused by my school, the miscarriage, the stress of my manager and the workload. I was pushed in the face by a year 11 pupil this morning too and I can’t deal with it. However, if I am offered an interview for one of the jobs, I would like to attend.

Can I still do this?

Hi.

This sounds awful. Stay off today. See your GP. I think it counts as urgent. Phone your union.

Take care of yourself.

Sorry to read this. I would get yourself signed off from work immediately. You’re not well enough to be there. You need to put your health and wellbeing first.
In regards to interviews, you will need to let your HT know as references will be sought before interview (that is if you’re going into another teaching role) - it’s a difficult one. It’s a conversation to be had with your HT directly and not over email.

He already knows I have applied as I told him before going off sick (I applied last week)

Do you really want to get another job when you are pregnant?

How are you doing?
