Absence review

Hi,

I've had an email today saying that my absence has triggered a review.

I had covid in July - after my LA updated guidance to say that covid now vounts as sickness.

Within the last 12 months I have also had two further periods of two days (sickness that I think was related to perimenopause and I'm now on patches).

I have never had a return to work interview.

This meeting has been scheduled in my PPA next week (after my learning dip).

What should I expect from this? Any advice on what yo say/do? I'm in the NEU but the rep is part time, leaving at Christmas and the H&S rep is teaching.

Thanks in advance for any advice 😊

Usually it is expected to have an absence review after you are off for ore than a few days, if you have any notes from the doctor or anything to support that you were ill take them with you, and it will just be short meeting discussing if you are well enough to be working and if there are any issues.

If I'd ever had a return to work interview and if our local authority didn't tell us to stay home for 5 days (or two negative tests) I wouldn't be so cheesed off - two occasions of two days is the sick that counts in my head!
