Part time directed time?

I do 0.8. my day off falls mid week.

All the evening events fall on days I work. All the Monday meetings.

I literally do the exact same as a full time member of staff. Is this right? I have managed to not do 1 inset as it was my day off but when I look at the directed time calendar it can't be right I am doing that, or am I supposed to 'suck it up'?

Nope, just agree what you’re not going to do. You don’t have to attend all meetings just because you can.

I ditch ones that are inconvenient or dull looking.

If you are subject to STPCD then you should ask for
your directed time calculation. It should be 0.8 of the 1265 hours so 1012 hours across the year. If all those meetings take you over, agree with school which ones you will attend and which ones you won’t to ensure you are on correct directed time.

You go to 4 Monday meetings out of 5. (80% of them).

Ask your line manager which one you can have off.

Ok, thank you, I'll work out which I will not do/be ok not to do.

I weirdly still feel guilty about it. Teacher guilt 🙄

This is exactly me OP! I need to broach it after half term but worried about rocking the boat (even though it annoys me I’m currently doing extra meetings technically unpaid!)

I am 0.8. I was given a list of all meetings, CPD for the year with the time for each one. The compulsory ones were marked (safeguarding etc). I then had to indicate which other ones I would be going to to make up my required hours (0.8 of everyone else's). I signed it, copied it, and handed it back to HR. So other schools do sort it out reasonably.

That sounds like a much better system!
