Confidential interview made public?

I recently advised the HT I was attending an interview , when asked if I’d like it kept confidential I replied yes.

I was then approached by another SLT and was asked how it went - so clearly this has been communicated.

What should I expect to happen now?

When I asked my head to keep my attending interview private = she said she would .. she told all of SMT

I don't think there is anything you can do about it

It might have been a conversation they had with SLT so that they could essentially ‘forward-plan’ in the possible event that you do leave.
Having said that though, how many other colleagues has the head told?

I don’t think it’s unusual for SLT to share this kind of thing among themselves. I wouldn’t expect them to let you know they knew tho iyswim.

yes the SLT who asked me looked really awkward and knew she’d dropped herself and Manager in the deep stuff!

It's normal for SLT to discuss things like this IMO, if they shared it at staff briefing that's a different matter!
