Appraisals- who?

Who should do appraisals? My line manager is phase leader but not doing appraisal, was deputy head now passed to head teacher- is this normal?

In discussions about hours/ days and wondering if they're linked.

Old school, DHT and HT did teaching staff. Phase leads did TAs.

In my small primary, HT & DHT do everyone’s.

In mine:

• HT does the members of SLT,
• DH does teaching staff (other than SLT),
• Rest of SLT do TAs/HLTAs.
