Pregnant and Covid - will it trigger early mat leave

Hi all, I'm 35 weeks pregnant and tested positive for Covid whilst at school yesterday. I've been told I'm not allowed back until Monday at the earliest and then only if I don't have a temperature and feeling well.

My question is this: if I end up still being ill next week, will my maternity be triggered early? I've tried looking online, but can't seem to find a definitive answer. I'm feeling pretty rough at the moment.

Thank you Smile

Isn’t it only pregnancy related sickness that can trigger early maternity leave? So since it’s Covid I would presume not.

Thank you @ProfessorGambol that's what I thought, but there are some confusing messages online
