Spending cuts

Hi,
I am hugely sorry to be a nuisance here. I am getting really worried as I heard on the news that the Government are making efficiency savings across departments. Does this mean they are likely to cut school funding again? I dread it as I was thinking of starting a family, but concerned that redundancies will happen as I don’t know what else they will cut.

So sorry to post again.

The outlook for schools is bleak if this government stays in power for long. With the current financial crisis there will have to be public sector cuts. I can't see the current government backing down on the tax cuts. This will mean further cuts to schools. Salary increases will continue to be unfunded, class sizes will get bigger, SEN children will get even less support, buildings will further deteriorate, staff pensions will be slowly eroded and yes unfortunately there will be redundancies. Education is our country's future but it is not being valued.
