Seriously thinking of resigning my ft post. Anyone else?

I left my ft permanent job last year to move to a different school- I think it was a good decision.

Would you be looking for a new teaching job in January, or moving to something different?

Silverbirch2 · 25/09/2022 15:49

I would like part time, I'll have to look for a new position due to £ but honestly my heart isn't in it anymore.
Are you permanent at new school?

Yes, permanent at the new job provided I pass probation.

I totally get feeling like your heart isn't in it, though. A change of scene has definitely helped me.

I feel a lot of people I know are! I'm trying a new post this year and I'm still undecided how I find it

Eyeing it up. Teach in a lovely school but increasingly feeling like I am 'done'.

I’ve been seeing so many posts like this lately, it’s very sad good teachers are leaving. My very amazing mentor from last year also said he decided to resign. So sad because if anything he was bloody brilliant with kids!

i've been at a school since april, but early on didn't feel it is the right fit... am looking for jobs with an april start (one I am strongly leading towards going for and have told the head) - would have said before this I didn't like the idea of moving in a year (and it is a higher leadership post) but in the end I'm looking for a role that is more fulfilling back in the classroom and with a better atmosphere - you can spend a long time mulling it over but the question I asked myself was am I happy and if not will it get better

It rarely ever gets better! I agree.
