More than 480 primary schools are already on their journey to become plastic-waste free with Plastic Clever Schools’
Now they are launching brand new resources for 11-16 year olds so that even more young people can be empowered to make a plastic waste free future a reality.
• Created by Common Seas and Kids Against Plastic, Plastic Clever Schools is a youth-led movement to reduce single-use plastics.
Young people care deeply about the environment and are some of the most passionate and effective advocates for our planet.
Plastic Clever Schools empowers and inspires young people like never before to drive real change in their school community.
• This event is organised by Common Seas , a social enterprise tackling the plastic pollution crisis by driving new policy, investing in the circular economy, and catalysing a cultural shift in how we make, use and dispose of plastic. Its mission is to quickly and significantly reduce the amount of plastic produced and stop it polluting our rivers and seas.
The event will feature a roundtable of experts chaired by Dan Worth, Senior Editor, Times Education Supplement.
The roundtable discussion will include expert opinions from students, teachers, and education leaders on the topic: Empowering young people for a plastic waste free future.
Confirmed panellists include:
• Paul Rose, Explorer, BBC TV and Radio Presenter
• Amy Meek (Head of Youth Action at Common Seas & Co-Founder of Kids Against Plastic)
• Lee Jowett (Sustainable School Manager, Leicester City Council)

We would really appreciate if you could share this with your powerful and active network and join us on 29th September for what promises to be an interesting discussion.
Kind regards,
Joe.
