Hi there
I have got an interview for a TA role coming up. Could you give me any pointers that might be helpful.
I have never worked in a school before but have a large family so am used to being around children.
Thank you!

They will definitely ask about your understanding of safeguarding and might give you an example scenario.

Relationship with teacher?

What skills you bring to the role?

I interview TAs regularly so look at the school website and get to know what the school offers. A question about something you've seen is always a winner.

Questions relating to how you'd support teachers in class and what strategies you'd use to support pupils may well come up. Find out the best ways to support pupils with autism too.

Always know what you'd do if a child discloses something to you and who you'd report it to.

Good luck!
