HOD post

I have been invited to attend an interview for a HOD post, the details specified not ECTs so would you expect a tlr for such a post? Private school and salary described as "competitive ".

ECTs would not be specified as they are looking for further experience but it should certainly include a TLR although this will be most probably phrased different and normally differs from school to school

They should absolutely pay you an additional amount for a management position. If this isn’t given, this is a big red flag.

Yes, they might not use the language of TLRs but there should be some remuneration for the responsibility.

Make sure you calculate the value of the overall package very carefully if they are one of the independent schools who have left the TPS.
