Anyone else dreading going back?

The thought of getting back on the ever-moving hamster wheel of work tomorrow is making me so miserable :(

There is no work-life balance during term time, Ofsted are looming and I can’t think straight or sleep properly for thinking about doing this for another 20 years. The Exit the classroom and thrive FB page has over 80,000 members now so I know I’m not alone (and I’ve been teaching since the 90s so also know the job doesn’t have to be like this!) but I just don’t know what else to do.

Yes. I’m feeling the same 😞

Yes me too. Nice school (I think- trust no one) and a lovely group chat with my team has helped ease those nerves.

Nearly everyone will feel a little glum tomorrow but I know some people have very difficult circumstance and my heart goes out to those. I have been there and it is unimaginable.

Same. Any idea what you want to do? I love my school and our head is great but teaching a whole new key stage and a leadership role is leaving me feeling anxious and it’s only day 2. I’ve been teaching for 15 years and I don’t know what else to do either. You are not alone.
