Part time Pay

Does anyone have a link to a teachers pay calculator for part-time? Or anyone willing to tell me how much they get for 3 or 4 days a week on UPS1? It's that time of year again when I'm seriously considering requesting part-time but not sure of the financial sense of it!

Not sure why you'd need a pay calculator?

Multiply full-time salary but either 0.6 (3 days/week) or 0.8 (4 days/week) and that would be the part time pay.

www.moneysavingexpert.com/tax-calculator/

This one did it to 1p! Contributions for pensions should be 8.9% but you can check in TPS website.

@Margo34 easy for gross pay but assume op wants net pay and account for deductions including pension and student loans etc

cherrypiepie · 04/09/2022 22:38

Remember other hidden savings.

Fuel clothing and lunches are obvious, cheaper Holidays if Monday or Friday, Can shops and cook cheaper as don't buy convenience.

Also can top up with supply or tutoring if dire need. I do 121 and exam Marking to top up

@cherrypiepie ahh yes, gross vs net wasn't stated. But you'd still need to input your deductibles into an online calculator just as you would if you worked it out without the online tool so 🤷

LyndaLaHughes · 05/09/2022 01:11

Just google the TES pay calculator

cherrypiepie · 05/09/2022 06:24

@Margo34 the calculator calculates the deductibles. That's the whole point of it. They only variable needed is the pension rate which is 8.9%.

Thanks all, @cherrypiepie that's exactly the type of thing I was looking for, thank you! I use ecosia as a search engine and it's pretty rubbish so didn't find that one.

@EdithGrantham excellent and excellent user name!

Thanks! I was about halfway through my second watching of Downton before I realised their last name isn't Grantham 🙈but I'd had the username for a while by then so it's stuck lol
