Too many ideas for my interview lesson!

So I've got an interview coming up in my dream school. Lovely leafy area with an amazing curriculum/opportunities for pupils, and I really really want the job! It's for English, and the lesson just needs to be on descriptive writing for year 7s. It's a great brief as I can literally do anything with it, but I'm staring at an empty page as no idea seems good enough! I feel like I've forgotten everything about planning lessons, even though I do it every day! Someone help me bounce ideas around? Should I bring objects in for a sensory descriptions starter?

Have a look at the school’s SOWs, website, improvement plan, newsletter - what do they like or do? Tailor your lesson so that it shows that you are on the same wavelength / on board with the school vision.

Well done on getting your interview!

I'm not an English teacher so can't advise on subject specifics, however, I second the idea of looking at the website documents and trying to base around that.

Don't try to cram too much in - keep it achievable!

Good luck.
