SENCO course

I'm looking at options for studying for the National SENCO award and I realised I don't know whether this is something I should expect to fund myself, or whether the school should pay? I'm currently employed as a SENCO. I'd also welcome any recommendations for providers in London. I'm currently leaning towards UCL. Thanks 😊

My school paid on the written understanding that , if I left within 3 years I would repay the costs. Most people on my course had a similar arrangement.

Absolutely the school should pay it! I left relatively soon after I did the course now I think about it, but they had a good couple of SENCO years out of me before that. Given how many hours the SENCO job takes for about 40p extra pay, I feel no guilt!
