Covid and training day?

I’ve somehow caught covid, and it’s worse than when I caught it when the virus first came to the U.K. I’ve got a banging headache, backache and I’m a bit weak.

The U.K. isolation rules confuse me so much. I have a training day at a new school on Thursday next week and I have no clue what to do. Shall I tell them now I have covid and tested positive or do I wait till next Wednesday and continue to daily test until then? The last thing I want to do is miss an inset day at a new school as I’m sure it doesn’t create a great impression!

can anyone advise. I also assume today is day one of my isolation day?

You should be able to go by then.
Isolate for 5 days if you are able, and test after that.
Can't see much point in doing daily tests from now.

Three isn't actually a legal obligation to isolate anymore, if you feel up to it just go for the INSET day.
