Nerves about moving

Just seeking some advice I suppose, I’ve been feeling really nervous about moving school. New starts etc. It’s so nerve wracking starting fresh, new people, new students, new policies, all of it.

Recently I’ve found the whole concept of moving difficult (even though I despise my current school) there are some big changes that happen when I move. I won’t have a fixed classroom, longer hours. I think I’ve just got used to having things in my own space and doing workable hours normal. It’s just an adjustment I suppose.

all of it makes me nervous I suppose! Mostly new people, I get every shy at first.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can be ready for the transition?

I have a "portable classroom" which I carry about. It's a bag with scissors, glue, pens, highlighters, board pens etc.
I get all my copying sorted early and into files so I take the ones I need in the classroom bag with me.
Why longer hours?

I might grab one of the portable stationary boxes on wheels. I think that could be useful.

Its not much at all, it’s an extra hour because they have a massive focus on after school clubs. So there’s one run daily from 3:30-4:30 which I have to attend to. Lessons begin earlier too.

I’m used to finishing after 3:30 and going Unless we have meetings. It’s only a small thing I suppose I’ll have to adjust in time and enjoy my early finishes while they last

That only works if you're not upstairs.

Are these clubs part of directed time?

I wouldn’t bother with a box tbh. Get a decent back pack with good straps. Like @MrsHamlet , my bag contained spare pens, glue, whiteboard pens etc and I had a folder for each class so when I planned a lesson the resources for that class went into the folder.
