OK. So the fte gross pa is £41,603 for the current academic year. 3/5 or 60% of that is £24,962 pa. Divided by 12 is £2,080 gross per month.

Then take off about 30% ish for income tax, NI, pension contributions etc. So that makes approx £1,456 net per month.

Obviously, if you opt out of the teachers pension scheme or of you have a student loan to repay then the total amount deducted will be different. But just to give you some idea 😉

I take home £1564 a month on 0.6 but I have to pay for my parking at school, so would be a smidge more without that....

MyBrilliantFriend · 11/06/2022 09:20

The Tafkam tes calculator used to be great for this - is that still around?

I think I used to take home just under £1500 when I was 3 days ups3. I work more days now.

I'm UPS3 and 0.6. Mines £1584.13 per month.

About £1800 but that’s inner London.
