Ofsted discrimination

I'm a teacher and recently had our feedback from Ofsted. I have a disability and their feedback about me personally was a criticism that I wasn't doing X when that is the very thing that I can't do. I am humiliated as this is a disability and I'm getting told that I need to improve on it. Can I make a complaint to Ofsted about this? I feel so down about it despite an otherwise glowing report. Everyone has been celebrating but I just keep crying. What do I do about this?

I assume a union would be able to advise best?

That's awful! Absolutely complain, and be persistent til you get a decent response.

Thank you I am going to complain to them, I've talked it through with a colleague today and they were appalled at what was said. They also said that I'd told them about my disability directly and the inspector can't deny that as she then asked me if I was supported by my head in relation to wellbeing questions. So they were well aware of this issue.

Absolutely outrageous. How dare they. I’d be really upset too but you MUST take it further. I’d be contacting my MP, Union, the press etc… it’s appalling of them.

definitely take it further... if it is recent, I think there is usually a 2 week period the head can raise it with ofsted as well... they shouldn't be given personal feedback that way so they haven't followed their procedure etiher

Thank you I'll be speaking with them tomorrow, I've got my script of what I will be saying to them and what I will be asking for from them too. It has taken me a few days to make sure I have everything written down calmly so I'm not charging in with emotions.

I've got nowhere yet, I've rang them but can't actually get to speak with a person. I've tried to email and just get directed to complete the online complaints thing but it does say that the report will be halted and I don't want this to have any impact on the report, just the inspectors themselves

Sounds like the report should be halted though. Inspector was negligent and could have been in other areas too

Why has your HT not questioned this on your behalf? They get a draft report and can query anything. You need to get them to deal with that asap and then you can also pursue a complaint as well.

Because I haven't raised it with my head as wanting to complain, for me it is a personal complaint from personal feedback. I told her I am not happy but she doesn't know I am wanting to formally complain.
