M6 pay? Depessing

Can I ask what your salary says on payslip if M6?
What is your take home pay?

I'm 0 86 at moment and it says my salary is £2648
I have a few additions to my pay (SEN Allowance) but I'm only just breaking £2000 take home pay and honestly for the work it's quite depressing!

For 0.66 (3 days teaching and PPA at home, I get just over £1500. No sign of it going up any time soon really where I am. Stuck on M6!

Thanks @Kingfisher5 I'm a bit the same- my school has a 2 year before applying for next level policy, but with covid its 3 years I dont think anyone in a rush for me to get a rise!

Why has COVID affected it? And are you saying you stay on each level for two years regardless? I'm assuming this is an academy?

Silverbirch2 · 29/05/2022 08:42

@GrammarTeacher you're right it's an academy. I'm fairly new but apparently 2 years is standard but due to covid noone moved up 🤷‍♀️ something about alot of the targets not being able to be met due to the restrictions etc.
I am going to attempt ups anyway as honestly for what we put in the wages arent great are they?!

It's been made clear to us there's no money to move anyone up. We have several staff stuck on M6 sadly.
