NPQSL providers?

Has anyone done their NPQSL ?

If so which provider would you recommend and why? I'm in a special school so particularly interested if anyone else in special has done this qualification.

Thanks

I would actively avoid any provider who use Teach First.

I know teach first don't get a good press but I didn't know they were involved in NPQ's. But until recently I didn't realise they were such a wide array of providers for the training, I just want to make sure I pick a good one!

I shopped around for mine (I'm doing NPQLTD) so I'm not doing it locally, because my lical
provider uses TF. It's with the Institute of Education and I like it.

I’ve just done one online with Best Practice. I wouldn’t recommend it tbh. I’d look for one with face to face elements.

Thanks, yes I'd definitely like some face to face elements

The UCL ones have face to face sessions.

I did mine a few years ago with Real Training... I think they are still awaiting confirmation they are a provider for Autumn (which may be the same for everyone). It is purely online - however I preferred that as it helped with flexibility and the support was great (you had calls etc with mentor from memory and a really active discussion board)

I’m doing NPQLTD with Ambition who then have local partners for the “live” bits (mix of face to face and live online sessions). I don’t know if their NPQSL is in the same format but we have fortnightly buddy meetings and half termly communities with other participants which i understand not all providers have and I like the structure of that, and it holds me to account and makes sure I do the online sessions on time rather than saving them up and doing them in one go!

Thank you everyone, I didn’t realise until I started exploring this that there was so much choice in providers! I think that for me I would prefer some face-to-face element so I will definitely look out for that
