Hi, TA here. Just wondering if anybody could help. My maternity leave starts in August. I'm just wondering, in order to get full pay over the 2023 summer holidays, when would i have to go back to work that July? Thanks.

I'm a teacher not a TA and it depends if you are paid in 12 equal salaried amounts as you don't are not paid for term time as you cot escrow is term time only

That aside, Technically you don't have to go back and the first day back at work could be the first day of the school holiday.

Don't feel guilty for doing this as non -school employees accrue annual leave over their time on mat leave so can tack that on the end and this could be 5 weeks full pay if they get 25 days AL.

If it does make you fee a bit guilty go back for the last week.
