Shared classes being taken advantage of

I teach Alevel Eng Lang and share both my AS/A2 with a part timer (he works mon-wed)I teach Paper 1 and he teaches Paper 2. This part timer has made life hell for me (verbally, work load wise as well, I had to take 2 months off for stress this year partly becuase of his behaviour) throughout the hears bc of bullying/harrassment.

My HoD is basically spineless who cant stand up to this colleague ( she feels intimadated), She has never taken a stand for me nor has she ever supported me when it came to the part timer.

Now that exam are nearer and she knows P1 will be first and after which I will have a week of no teaching, she has told students that I will teach then P2 which is after May half term. I have never taught P2 and I wasn't even spoken to about this! heard from the students. Now, my Q is can I refuse to teacher lessons bc I definitely know that my HoD will take her side and ask me to do the extra teaching as well. Can I speak to the Union? Will I get in trouble for refusing to teach lessons. Bearing in mind he has never done that for me.

You can't refuse to teach your class in your lessons.
I share all my y13 groups. I will be finished with two of them at half term. If I was directed to revise with them in my lessons for the other paper, I would ask for the materials and remind them (by email) that I am not at all familiar with this part of the exam.
I would not approach them about this either. Let the teacher tell you...

Of course you can’t refuse to teach a class what you are assigned to teach. Just do what you can.

You can’t refuse to teach a class. And if you have been off for a long time they might appreciate inout from one of their actual teachers.
we all share A level classes here, and i have only taught one side of the course for years ( its my specialist subject area), however one of my partner teachers is off so i have been teaching her side as well. Of course it’s more prep but its a really unreasonable objection.

Paper 1 is Wed 25th May and Paper 2 is Monday 6th June.
With half term that leaves two teaching days in between the two exams (assuming your half term is the same as mine).
Im not sure how two teaching days can cause such a problem, but I could be missing something?
