NPQ workload?

Has anyone done the NPQ in leading teaching ? I'm a primary teacher and subject leader and I am considering applying for it to start in September. I just wondered if anyone had any experience of doing it. I cannot find any information about what sort of workload it will be other than the number of hours over the 12 months. I would also like to know what sort of evidence I would need to produce. Any info gratefully received!

It's ok. A lot of it is taken on trust that you've completed the tasks in your own time, there's very little to turn in (at least so far... I started last September).

It seems a lot lighter than the previous NPQML that colleagues completed last year.

I started the NPQ in leading teacher development earlier this year and so far I’m finding it a lot easier time wise than my previous big professional course (advanced teacher status). With my provider I have about an hour a week to do - one week this is online, independent learning and the following week is a meeting with my buddy to discuss what we’ve learnt the week before. We then have a one hour community meeting once per half term (we set the time for our group ourselves) and then a clinic which I think is two hours once per half term. However my best friend is doing hers with a different provider and hers is pretty much all online and independent. The requirement on mine is 90% attendance/engagement and passing the assessment at the end. It’s pretty flexible though within reason, obviously with the buddy meetings you have to have done the previous weeks work beforehand but it doesn’t matter if it’s the week before or the same day, and equally if you are struggling to meet one week because you’ve got stuff on there is the option to complete the tasks independently.
