I was rejected for a permanent role that I had been covering temporarily, not because I didn't do well but because there were stronger candidates. It hurt a lot but I understood, nevertheless I decided to leave.

The post has re-opened and I want to apply to go back because I love the school and the job. I've gained a lot of knowledge and skills since leaving.

My question is, is it ever a good idea to go back? What if I am rejected again? Although I do have a better chance this time.

Also my dc goes to the school so if I am rejected again it's not like I will never see them again.

I don't know what to do....

I would apply if you can demonstrate how many more skills you have learnt since last time
