New examiner and tax return?

Hi, I'm thinking of becoming an examiner and don't currently fill in a tax return as just normally employed by a school. If I start examining will I have to start doing a tax return? How does it work?

No, it’s just taxed as a second job. At least it is when I do it - I mark for Pearson/Edexcel.

@howtomoveforwards do you mean PAYE? I was a bit worried reading all the 'you must be responsible for your own tax' etc
