Inadequate School

Would I be mad to consider moving to a school graded inadequate just before the national lockdown in 2020?

The leadership was judged RI and the monitoring visits are pointing in the right direction.

I'm an experienced teacher and would like to apply for a curriculum leadership post. Promotion to this is not an option where I work currently, and the vacancy is much closer to home. However, there is a large number of staff vacancies at once (though the school is under subscribed) including more than one leadership role in my subject. Is this a bad sign??

Honestly? I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

It might be fine, but the vacancies are a red flag, and you should ask lots of questions about that. The risk is that you find yourself leading a department of non-specialists or vacancies covered by inadequate agency staff.
