Ofsted outcome

Is there any reason why SLT wouldn't tell all other staff the feedback given by Ofsted before the final report is received (apparently in about 6 weeks)?

Yes, it is restricted and confidential and only to be shared between " relevant personnel" a draft will be received within 18 days, this is still confidential and it is only the final report, within 30 working days of the inspection, that should be shared more widely.

Do you mean specific feedback or what the overall result is?

funniestpersonyouknow · 24/03/2022 13:34

I suppose I just thought it unusual not to give staff any kind of feedback at all, just some vague statement about needing to "go on a journey".

Yes, they are not allowed

ClaudiusTheGod · 24/03/2022 17:47

Grin don’t you just love teaching

This means RI at best!!

Iamnotthe1 · 24/03/2022 17:59

Do you know which type of inspection it was? Section 8 inspections don't change the grading anyway.

PhileasPhilby · 24/03/2022 18:29

They’re not allowed to.

But needing to go on a journey doesn’t imply outstanding, that’s for sure!

cansu · 26/03/2022 18:36

In every school I have ever worked staff have been told that it went well or it didn't. Statements such as needing to go on a journey imply RI or inadequate.

Barbie222 · 26/03/2022 20:49

I've never not known after day 2. It sounds like it will be RI or below, from what you say.

Partyatnumber10 · 27/03/2022 21:50

They're not allowed to tell, officially. I know our last one I couldn't text or email staff members but could phone or tell them in person.
Usually people will talk about it and know as long as it doesn't get written anywhere.
"Going on a journey" I agree sounds like RI to me.
How is the HT and DHT mood?
Grim and serious = RI
Crying or missing in action = inadequate.
