Teacher CV

I am applying for a role which has asked for a CV, which in my experience is quite unusual within teaching so I need a bit of advice. I was always told to include my entire work history which seems a bit ridiculous when I write it all out, I’ve been teaching for 12 ish years and worked in 5 institutions during that time, I’ve grouped together my year of supply/sessional work and other similar multiple roles but what I’m struggling with is the stuff I did before teaching - do I just list dates and organisations? It’s SO long at the moment!

You have to give a full employment history since leaving full time education (with any gaps explained) according to safer recruitment guidelines. No need to detail all the responsibilities though, just an overview of the ones in your teaching jobs and anything that is relevant outside of teaching.
