Return to work - already stressed again

NC as identifying.

I have been off with work-related stress for a number of weeks, on advice of OH who were appalled at my workload. I am due to return to work tomorrow. However, so far I have not had any information of what will be happening. I am due to have a full teaching day if we go by my normal timetable (and was rung to confirm no cover was needed by HR earlier in the week). But I have no idea where my classes are at after so many weeks, so cannot plan my lessons. I don't know whether I'll be expected to deliver after school at no notice. I don't know where there will be a RTW meeting and when (as I would not go into any meeting with management without union representation now). I asked what was happening on Friday. It is now mid-day on Sunday and I am stressed to the hilt not knowing what the plan is for tomorrow.

Just a rant and asking for experiences I guess.

I can tell you that when I was off for 3 weeks for similar reasons in Jan, I had a phone conversation with the VP on the Tuesday before return & went in for a meet & greet on the Friday during which I met with the HT & exec HT. My co-teacher had everything planned for that first week back. It was a promising start, although it hasn’t been entirely backed up subsequently. You could perhaps email now & explain that your stress levels are rising untenably & you need to know what you’re doing or you won’t make it in?

How did it go?
Hope you are ok.
