We are on half term this week and I've never felt so much like I just need to sleep! I have 2 DS, 3 and 7 who although can play nicely together, also have their fair share of arguments.
The end of this half term just felt crippling. We are in report writing season for our school so an added extra, my to do list is ridiculous for this week.
I didn't get a decent lie in at the weekend as we were just busy. I'm sat here at the lunch table pretending I still have tea in my mug for a few minutes peace and I just want to cry.

Sorry to hear you are finding things hard Flowers

In terms of the to do list - is it all absolutely essential? Cross off any non-essential tasks. With the rest, prioritise what absolutely has to be done this week, leave everything else.

Is there anyone who could have your boys for a few hours to give you a breather?

Thanks.

My IL are having the boys tomorrow so I can get some of the to do list done. I have separated it into what is essential to be done this week and what is desirable so I guess I just need to be sensible about it.

Those years are behind me now, but I remember them well. I nearly swung for DH once when, at the end of the school holiday, when I had been with my 2 young dc daily for the 6 and a half weeks, he took the first week in September off work. Without telling me. And had a calm and quiet week when they were back in school and I was back in work.

He's never done it again, but still rarely takes time off when I'm off with the DC (now late teens).

Solidarity. I am counting down the days until my three year old turns 4 and can have the odd day in holiday club.
