Year 1/2 interview lesson obs - help please

I have an interview in a week’s time. It’s for mixed year 1/2 and the obs is 30 minutes on fractions, which they haven’t done before. I’ve never taught mixed year groups or 1/2, so has anyone got any ideas I could work with for this observation? I really need this job! Thank you

That's harsh for an interview! Definitely agree with NCETM - look at the first unit on fractions for year 3 because it's spends time thinking about what a whole is, before moving on to parts of a whole.

Otherwise you're going to end up with sharing cake or smarties. It's such a hard one!

Just thought I'd update to say I didn't get it. I'm probably just feeling cynical and sorry for myself, but they were also interviewing a student-teacher who's been doing all of their training in that very school...
