How long did you feel shattered after Covid?

Just gone back to school after my 10 days isolation … and feel shattered. Back to chills and hot flushes and just total exhaustion. And that’s just after one day! I’m taking tomorrow off but feel a bit pathetic/guilty…

How long did it take you feeling like you could teach a full day again?

I had it in October and I am still not right. I am being ruthless in my marking in lessons and taking as little home as I can.

Like Phlebas, had in November and still not really better. So so tired all the time, and still not got my sense of smell or taste back properly yet.

Reading with interest. I’m currently on day 10 and feeling really bad.
I’m going back next Monday but am dreading it. At least it’s nearly half term.

I went back this week and still have an awful cough and sinus pressure. I actually feel ok when I'm teaching, it's manageable just about. But as soon as I get home I crash and feel awful the whole evening. I definitely don't feel normal yet, also have brain fog like I can't focus properly, very strange.

Glad i've seen this topic on here as i've had mild symptoms since testing positive on Jan 21st and was clear by last Thurs 27th......however my main symptom has been fatigue and lack of energy. Luckily i work as an ad hoc supply teacher in a primary school [where i caught covid] and when the head phoned last week and asked if i could work last Fri 28th i nearly dropped the phone through surprise!

Anyway, i told him i was taking this week off and feel good now. I'm happy to return next week, though i'm acutely aware of how onerous the job is on a daily supply basis, especially with the shed load of marking that needs to be done at the end of the day, so we'll see.

Yes, this is me too - I’m keeping it together in front of the students but absolutely shattered at home, no other real symptoms just extreme fatigue, although it seems to be getting less awful day by day.

Thank goodness it’s the weekend and half term soon.

I had it in October and still exhausted too. My sense of taste and smell haven’t fully returned either. Most of my colleagues who had it at the same time are also still experiencing side effects. I’d be interested to know how long it has taken others who had it before me to feel fully recovered.
