I’ve decided to give my resignation in. I feel slightly overwhelmed and slightly relieved.

I’m confused about resignation date, I never had a further contract to sign after my one year probationary so I am confused. It says during probationary one month notice then after the usual notice. As I never signed a further contracts after probationary, where do I stand in term of the notice I give?

I think if you hand your notice in now you will be able to leave at the end of the term.

This might help neu.org.uk/advice/notice-periods

If you wish to stay in teaching but try a different school then you can hand your notice in now to leave in the summer, which gives you time to look for other jobs.

You've got until the 28th February to give you notice to leave at Easter. If you want to try and negotiate an early exit you can ask your union to help you with that, but this is going to depend on your headteacher.
