Cambridge: Intermitting

Hoping there might be a Cambridge person on here who understands something about internitting?
NC’d for obvious reasons.
My DC is 3rd year, has struggled with her mental and physical health for a year, almost didn’t return to uni in October. She came home a week ago but is extremely anxious, stressed and has constant infections and other physical issues. She isn’t on medication for the mental health issues but is for the physical ones.
I’ve spent a week trying to get her calmer and healthier.

She has decided she definitely wants to intermit and has contacted her Doss and tutor. But now is is very worried they won’t get back to her before mid-January and she will continue to be unwell.

I think she is at very high risk of falling off a cliff is she carries on as she is.

My question is how likely is it they will let her intermit? Is there anyway I can reassure her it is likely to be fine, I’ve no idea what proportion of requests are allowed.

I should probably have added she has already been involved with welfare and GP for almost a year for the physical and mental health issues.

I didn’t want to read and run. This must be so stressful for you both. I don’t have any experience of intermitting, but just wanted to show some support. Your DD’s mental and physical health is more important than any university place, no matter how prestigious. I really hope they will agree to her intermitting, but more than that, I hope that by stepping back from her studies she is able to get on the road to recovery.

In the Higher Education topic there's a thread for parents of current students at Oxford and Cambridge. Someone there may be able to help.
