The DP was apparently my secret Santa. I got a doily that looks like a cats arse.. Everyone else got nice things so it's not like we were doing some terrible gifts secret Santa. And then I get a cats arse.

I know. Although it has given me some entertainment telling my none school friends about it. In comparison other colleagues got plants and collections of chutneys and alcohol and chocs. I got my person some silver earrings. And I'd been asked to do another ss because there had been a cock up of some kind. Now this person is leaving to train as a nurse. I got her a vintage wind up nurses watch. And still I got a cats arse.

Similar thing happened to me
I spent the limit of £15 on a nice mug and a voucher
I got a dirty, used & unwrapped gift back. It was actually rusty. I was so upset. How did that person think it was ok to do that? Would they have done that if they had got the deputy, the head or any other person in fact? I was really hurt.

I spent nearly a tenner and got my SS 4 nice things (2 off an ideas list)
I got a pair of knitted wrist warmers

Same! I gave a beautiful boxed Molton Brown bath bauble and got a horrible empty jar with a cork lid. I was very hurt that someone I work with thought that was good enough for me
The previous year I gave a gift box of mini gins and got a notepad and biro. I mean, I work in a school and they are available for free!
I'm not doing SS again. I am btw impressed at the utter shitness of your cat bum doily!
