Hi I was wondering if I could get some advice. I was put on a plan last summer, however the plan didn’t actually kick off until Autumn 2 with regular meetings and evidence banking. I have kept a folder with evidence and some recordings of myself teaching. Anyway, I am being observed by the head soon and I’m wondering if this is all normal practise? Apparently she’s basing her decision off this one lesson but I’ve spent time collect evidence which she said she wanted and now things have changed. I need to plan lifted as I am pregnant and In my second trimester and I don’t need the stress anymore I feel like I have been caused a great amount of stress and it’s not good for me.

Are you in a union? Have you spoken with your local rep?
And do you have the original plan and what was required in writing?

This is definitely one for the Union. Call them. Explain everything. They will advise.

Yes I am I have spoken to them. They suggested if I’ve been getting positive feedback so far on the plan then I shouldn’t avoid the observation and go through with it. But if I don’t feel up to it I need to speak to HR about the stress and possible get signed off by gp. But I don’t wanna do that as after half term I won’t be back as I’ll be in my 3rd trimester then. I’ll just do it and see how it goes. 🤷🏽‍♀️
