Anyone else's school been hit? We have teachers being put on hideous TikTok's being accused of being perverts, witches - and worse.

I'd be ok with being called a witch tbh. The pervert thing is massively serious as you get a whole "no smoke without fire" thing that could ruin your reputation. I hope the staff in your school are being well supported.

Not at all. But I wouldn't expect any as our leadership team is useless
We've had accusations of affairs, 'nonce' accusations ....

Can they find out who posted them? And take action against them? If it happened to me I would go to the police. Via my Union.

Yes, we have had one colleague, named and with picture taken from school website, being called a pedophile. Others, again fully named, have been called horrible names. Awful. The school managed to get them taken down.

It is so sad that our profession has come to this. We are now just memes to be ridiculed.

Very, very few children are actually doing this and not many more will support it. The majority of children like their teachers, and are capable of having a bit of empathy. Like in any classroom, the negative behaviour is what stands out for us but I don't think we should forget about all the decent teens.

Who invented this awful technology, these poor children have no idea of the power of the thing in their hands and what damage they can do with it. Snap Chat is the worst one IMO - because all evidence disappears. A whole generation of children are being affected by these awfully addictive apps, so sad for them.

I’ve had similar issues at my school. I don’t ‘get’ Tik-Tok and when the staff were told about it, I thought it was at another local school in the borough - my management team is never direct and would rather leave us all confused and in the dark than admit there is a problem. But it was taken down. Nothing happened to the child, as far as I am aware.
