I’m a TA, 1:1 but work in a very difficult class meaning I’m very often a 1:1/whole class TA. That’s another thread in itself.

I just want reassurance that we’re not the only ones suffering with very poor behaviour. We have higher than average children with SEN but it’s theirs and other children’s rapid decline in behaviour since the start of this academic year that’s really getting to me. We have at least 3 incidents each day and constant disruptive behaviours throughout the day.

I’m up now dreading going into work tomorrow because I know what the day will bring. I don’t know what to do next or where to turn as it seems the whole school has the same problem

You are definitely not alone. Our school is facing similar behavioural challenges, which seem to have escalated over the past few weeks. It doesn’t help that staff come & go, unable to cope with the demands of the job, which of course has a huge impact on the children and their fragile sense of stability. Is there someone you can talk to at the school, to air your concerns?
