Hey guys. I’m just wondering about this. I just qualified from my training and secured a job. I had an induction day a couple of weeks ago too.

Does anyone know whether it’s the school that will be advising if future training events or inset days? I emailed last week asking if there is anymore events I should attend in relation to teacher training and they said nothings coming up for me.

Shall I just take it as that and wait till they communicate regarding insets

Yes it's down to the school. Do you have a start date for September?

INSET stands for in service training and is 5 days per year allocated to teacher training and development but it is school led. If you're part of a MAT they may coordinate some part of it, or the LEA if you're not a MAT school.

Your school will let you know.
My ECTs have had two training days with me (plus new staff induction) and have one with the Appropriate Body in September.
