Backing out of long term supply

I recently accepted a long term supply role for the new term but have decided its not for me. Can I literally just contact the agency saying I'm no longer available for it or am I bound by any contractual obligations?

The joy of supply is that you are always available to take a better offer. Your agency, however, may hold it against you if it makes them look bad (depends how easily they can replace you), so I would make sure you are registered with several others for September.
