I normally visit a school prior to applying - I've not got a chance this time.. do you think it will make a difference?

No. We don't allow pre-application visits anyway.

Not really. But if you get the interview just make sure you’ve done aaa much research into the school as you can so that when asked at interview you have a chance of standing out. Smile

I think it depends on the area.
It's quite rare for people to do visits for secondaries in my area, but one of my friends has said that in their area it's expected that candidates for primary roles visit. If they don't then it goes against them unless they've made contact with the head to discuss the position and say they would love to visit but insert reason here.
