Move up days

I'm feeling super stressed about this and not sure why!

It will be my first transition day, and I have a few activities planned - a getting to know me/ you quiz, an all about me leaflet, painting a jar and putting in wishes for the year (for display), teambuilding game (tallest tower in 20 minutes). Possibly a start to a story that we will read in September (just for fun, not for English or guided reading).

Year 3. What am I missing? Have been given no guidance as to what to cover and everyone is super stressed and busy. There's not much actual learning going on. That's ok isn't it?

Super anxious about this. I don't want to mess up!

All sounds great- I would include a questions about Year 3 session.
It also depends how much time you have. In the past, I have put some photos on large pieces of paper of things we will be learning about and the children have to write round the pictures what they think is happening.

You could get them all to design a jigsaw piece about them and put them together. Twinkl have some

Thank you, have added a q&a section and a bit of circle time to talk about worries. Thank you for the jigsaw idea, that's lovely too.
