You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. It is meant for school staff only – a sort of room of requirement for school staff to let off steam.

Baiters, haters, goaders, and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are NOT staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

Do not give the staffroom password to non-staff as it attracts the wrong sort of crowd.

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation. Do not sit on the chairs and do wear a mask. Finally, upload your covid test results twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays.

I'm very much hoping things stay the same until the end of term now. Having stayed in bubbles this long it seems foolhardy to go back to a free-for-all for the last few days when cases are escalating.

Chris still wins.

We've somehow managed to split off students into smaller than year group bubbles. It doesn't work for lunchtimes, so any positive cases have to say who they spent their lunch with for close contacts.

Given how poor the ventilation is in some classrooms and how small they are, sending home groups of makes sense. I'm quite pleased my school didn't go down the route of some schools by only sending home the students immediately next to the case. It's much easier to teach one Teams lesson to the whole class for a few days than have a revolving door of different people in and out, some on Teams, some in class. I am lucky that we were well supported getting Teams up and running though. It's been much less disruptive than some of my friends' experiences.

I had to hunt for him again. It was a trial.

I look at shoe man and all I can think is "manspreading" .

Half remote half in class lesson after lunch today. Lost the will to live, as did the kids.

Positive cases are popping up all over the place now. Loads of local schools have 200+ kids isolating. One of our local schools has had over 100 cases in the past couple of weeks.

I love Chris H's parenting fails too. Loads on YouTube.....He's just so ruddy normal. Takes his kids on campervan trips. Bakes.

That's what makes him so damn attractive. He's gorgeous but he's also likeable.

In the interests of blatant oggling research I shall watch more

I fear that
A) there is some confusion over Barton Snr and Barton Jnr, as to which one I noted as being somewhat ripped (if that’s the right word) and which one I’d place on a theoretical Snog list.

B) I’ve stopped noble doing some marking/ironing/tweeting, as she searches for something she probably won’t ever notice unless I give some outing info which I’m not going to give. It is a shame I can’t, as it’s kind of funny.

Still Cillian for me. I watched ‘A quiet place 2l last week and even in a post apocalyptic world, covered in crime and full on manic beard, he still looked lovely.
