We lost a pupil yesterday

I've been teaching for 25 years and this is a first.

She was in Year 1. We've just had a meeting at school. Tomorrow will be very hard.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how hard that will be for the school community. Awful news.

I am so sorry to hear that. Tomorrow will be hard, but your colleagues will be there with you, and everyone supports each other in these circumstances.
Three pupils at my school have died in the 12 years that I’ve been working there. It shakes the whole school community, but also reminds everyone of what binds them together.

I'm very sorry to hear that. As other posters have said, it will be very hard. I hope school supports the staff as well as the students.
