Private school interview from state

I went for a private school interview today having never set foot in a private school.
My lesson observation went really well and I really enjoyed teaching such well behaved children.
The other candidates were all from private school backgrounds whereas I am from a state (outstanding) school.
I really want the job but I am worried that my ‘face doesn’t fit’.
Has anyone moved from teaching state to private schools?
Also how long do you think it will be until I hear back from them? Thank you.

I have before. You should hear very quickly. Often in private schools it can bd based on 'connections' but not always. Best of luck.

I did. You won't go back! Congratulations. Be aware they get their pound of flesh - lots of marketing things, open Saturdays, taster days, trial days, open evenings and parents are tricky...
