Anyone work in a digital/paperless school?

We are transitioning to a fully paperless model. All kids with tablet devices. Does anyone have experience of this? I will be spending a good portion of my summer putting everything into OneNote and making quizzes etc, so it would be good to know what has/ has not worked for you.

One thing I do is make powerpoints but have a student version (no answers etc) that I upload to Google classroom. That way I don't need to collate and learn masses of online resources, which is very time consuming and better to learn as you go on especially as different classes will respond differently to websites.
I have a selection of apps I make all my students download at the start of the year (dice and mwb app are musts) but on my starter slide I always put up the app we will use that lesson to give them time to download it if so. Especially if it's a new app.
Also prepare yourself that students will rock up with uncharged tablets or tech issues that leaves them without a tablet.

Thanks. That's interesting about the apps, as I bet these tablets will be blocked from downloading software, just as staff tablets are. Something to raise with IT.
