When are the most teaching jobs advertised?

I’ve posted recently about how I am doing a maternity cover role in a large academy school. It really doesn’t suit me and I worry about losing my confidence if I stay much longer. I keep checking the jobs adverts for September but it’s all much of the same high staff turnover academy schools hiring at the moment.
Does anyone know when the most abundant time for for job ads is in the year? Thanks.

It depends on the area and whether it's classroom teacher or TLR/leadership positions.
In the last few years I've noticed a lot of jobs for September are advertised February to March, then a slow flow until after the May resignation deadline, when lots of fixed term contracts come out.

It’s a weird year for jobs. Normally you get loads at this time of year but I think this year it’s an anything goes sort of shout.

If you’re on a fixed term contract though, you might benefit from any late resignations. If staff resign on or near 31 May, schools don’t have time to replace them before permanent staff can resign so there is much less competition for roles. Essentially, no one in a permanent job can apply for September starts after 31 May, but you can.

Thank you. I'm stuck because I LOVE my 2 day a week job and detest my 3 day a week job so I'm reluctant to leave both to get one full time in case it's not as lovely as my 2 day a week. Plus I really like working in 2 schools because I feel less institutionalised.
