PPA - what do I need stock wise?

If you’re a primary PPA teacher, what do you find you always need in other people’s rooms? Thinking of requesting my own stash of pencils, whiteboard pens, rubbers, sharpeners, glue sticks, post it’s etc. What else should I order if I get the funds? Thanks

A whiteboard rubber for you (not for the kids) if they still have whiteboards in the classrooms. A wheelie crate to take books away for marking if you can't do it in the classroom/during the lesson. Marking pens too obviously.

Most important ime is your own log in to the school network, in case you get locked out of a classroom computer and then can't access the IWB!

Thanks @Meredusoleil

Yep! I’ve definitely resorted to wiping the board with a paper towel before.
I’ll get done sort of wheelie crate or sexy shopping trolley.

Any other PPA survival tips gratefully received .

I ended up doing PPA for 3 years and really liked it. I was just out of NQT and it definitely helped me learn so much.

It worked best when the same year groups wanted the same subjects covered, as I could plan more in depth.

Behaviour management wise, I generally used to try and build up to finishing a topic with a really nice activity- but made it quite clear that participation depended on behaviour in weeks 1-6 etc. I actually ended up doing Art regularly with Y6 which they loved and sadly, hadn't had since Infants Shock. I'm the least arty person ever so that was a surprise!

@EmotionalSupportDressingGown (great name!). It’s always good to hear from people that love it. I’m mainly teaching RE but have so far quite enjoyed planning it despite it not being my norm! Trying to look at the positives of PPA cover - there are quite a few!
