I’m looking to read up on teaching children from the GRT community/working with their parents, anything that can help me understand a bit more about the background, issues they face etc. Does anyone know of any useful resources please?

Worcestershire is a county that has historically done quite a bit of work with this community, so their various local government-type websites may well be a useful source of guidance.

There are a number of GRT groups and websites, but I would not feel able to point you in the direction of any specific ones that those communities themselves would see as representative.

Using Advanced Search may well be useful, as there are a couple of regular MN posters who come from this background and may be able to give more authoritative and nuanced advice.

I used to teach at a school with a high proportion of pupils from a very large local Traveller site, but that was some years ago and I no longer feel up to date.

Thank you, @cantkeepawayforever - really helpful. Stupidly, I didn’t think to look on a gov website!
